52 Weeks of Gratitude: Week 9

I am starting to notice of pattern in my weeks. This writing challenge has helped me realize some negative patterns in my life that I need to change. Each week, I reflect back on what I’m grateful for, and while I do that I think about how I felt. Recently, I have been overly stressed and negative. That isn’t the usual me! I have a plan written for this weekend that will encourage me to be more positive. The plan is self-care and removing clutter.

Here are a few things I’m grateful for this week:

1. Rain

Believe it or not, I am grateful for the rain this week. The gloomy weather might be giving me the blues, but it also gives me hope because the rain is providing the beautiful flowers and trees what they need to bloom. I am already seeing buds sprouting. Also, rain is a natural car wash ????

2. My future in-laws

One of the reasons for my stress is wedding planning. We have a year and half, but I’m already freaking out. Wedding planning has been a total sticker shock for me. I didn’t realize it would cost this much for one day. This week I was panicking after a family member told me that the affordable venue that I picked will end up being really expensive. Are we making the right choice? Or should we go with the place that is per person and provides the linens and other small details? I finally decided on Thursday that I just needed to talk it out with someone else. I talked to my future mother-in-law and she helped me break it down and decide. The original choice is what we’re going with, but we also have 6 months to officially decide. I’m so grateful that I have them to help me and talk these things out, because “I’ve never done with before”! (My best friend said I would catch myself saying that….it’s true haha)

3. My physical strength

This past week, I started working out again with my favorite program, 21 Day Fix. I forgot how much strength it took to do the workouts. After being out of commission for a couple months due to my surgery, I am incredibly grateful that I have my health and strength to DO these workouts, or any at all.

What are you grateful for this week?

Ps. I promise I have other posts in progress other than these weekly gratitude posts. It’s part of my self-care plan since blogging is one of the things I enjoy ????
