52 Weeks of Gratitude: Week 5

52 Weeks of Gratitude - Week 5

I’m a day late on posting my 5th week of gratitude, but with a good reason! I’m currently hanging out in Florida to help with taking care of my nephew. Last week was filled with me being busy trying to catch up with life after recovering (read: still recovering) from my surgery and having to get my things to together to hop on a plane to warmer climate (bye, Pittsburgh). Once I got to Florida, I had to learn my nephew’s routine and by the time he went to bed, I was exhausted. I am truly so grateful to have this opportunity.

Here are a few things I am grateful for last week:

1. Healing

I am grateful for quickly healing from my surgery. I had my follow up appointment and everything looks great! I did my best to listen to my body and to take care of myself. I’m extremely impatient, so it was tough for me, but I continue to provide my body with nourishing foods with my recovery in mind.

2. My dentist

I know, I sound crazy…who the heck likes their dentist, let alone GOING to the dentist. I found the best dentist office in northern area of Pittsburgh. They truly care about your dental health, give you tips to remedy any issues, and explain what will happen if you don’t follow through. They are also great at filling cavities. I’ve never had any issues with them not numbing me enough or with being completely uncomfortable. I rarely get anxiety when I go to the dentist now. If you’re looking for a new dentist office in the Pittsburgh area, feel to reach out and I’ll tell you who I go to. I can’t recommend them enough! I am grateful for listening to my intuition to find a new dentist and then finding them.

3. 70 degree weather

Obviously this isn’t Pittsburgh’s weather right now, so I’m talking about Florida. I always feel a positive shift when there is warmth, blue skies, and some sun. I am so grateful for the opportunity to experience this weather in early March. Being able to comfortably walk outside in a t-shirt and jeans is amazing. This is a refreshing experience for me right now. I am hoping to one day move to North Carolina or somewhere similar to experience this (at least a mild winter would be nice).
