It was another slow week for me with a couple of bad days, but I made it to Friday and constantly thought about what I’m grateful for. When I started feeling stressed and negative thoughts were going through my mind, I stopped and thought about what I’m grateful for in that moment. It’s a difficult habit to get into, because it’s so easy to focus on the things going wrong at that time.
One of my favorite parts about this past week was the start of actual warm Spring weather. It makes me so happy to be able to open the windows and go outside without turning into an icicle. Here are the things I’m grateful for this week:
1. Spring
The feeling of new beginnings and the warmth bring me so much happiness. I am grateful that it seems like Spring is actually starting at the beginning on Spring. We could always have another frigid day and snow, but I’m really hoping we’re done with that nonsense until December. Spring is the time for new beginnings and I can feel that shift in my life. I’m looking to make some changes with will have a positive impact on my future. Thank you, Spring, for motivating me.
2. Fish Fry Season
I’m not Catholic and I wasn’t raised Catholic, but I can certainly appreciate a good Fish Fry. It’s one of my favorite times of year. We have our favorite places to go to throughout the season. The fish sandwiches are always so good! Fish Fry’s also mean Spring is around the corner…see the point above 😉
3. Meditation
Something that I have working on is creating a habit for is meditating daily. It’s a work in progress, but whenever I take the time to meditate I immediately feel relief from my stress. It puts me in a better place mentally and spiritually. It was much needed this week. I am grateful for the guided meditations on YouTube.
What are you grateful for this week?
