Happy March! We survived the (very cold – at least where I’m located) first two months of the year! We’re getting closer to spring everyday. Today, I want to share with you some of my current favorites that have brightened up (and warmed up) my winter so far.
Hello Gorgeous mug
I felt the onset of a cold one morning before work and I knew that I would need peppermint tea to survive the next 9 hours. I decided to stop by Target on my way to get tea and I saw this adorable mug. It’s so pretty and chic, and it boosts my confidence! I love having it on my work desk.
TEAki Matcha Green Tea
I love matcha green tea, but I don’t always love the price. When Simply Taralynn blogger Taralynn recommended TEAki Matcha Green Tea on Amazon, I had to check it out. It is an affordable price and great quality. I highly recommend it!
Here’s how I make my matcha:
- Add to a mug:
- ½ tsp to 1 tsp of the matcha powder
- About a teaspoon of coconut oil
- Teaspoon of honey (or however much you want)
- Heat water
- I heat 1 ½ cups of water in the microwave for 3 ½ minutes. I’ve read that the water shouldn’t be boiling temp, but close
- Pour about 2 oz of water into mug
- Use a milk frother, spoon, or fork and mix
- Once mixed, add the remaining water to the level you desire
- Top with a splash of milk (I use almond 🙂 )
LATHER face wash
I fell in love with the Ultra Mild Face Wash when I received it in my Ipsy bag a while ago. The sample size seemed to last forever, so I decided that the price point was worth it. About 6 months later, I was out and had to replenish. Amazon didn’t have the Ultra Mild Face Wash at the time, so I had to get the LATHER Cucumber Milk Facial Cleanser. This actually seems to be treating my face even nicer especially with winter being so drying! It doesn’t cause any dryness. I also use an exfoliating face wash twice a week.
My new Amazonite necklace from DarlingGemsForYou on Etsy
Long story short, I felt called to find a necklace with amazonite when I found this gorgeous necklace in the Etsy shop DarlingGemsForYou, I jumped on purchasing it. Well, I jumped the gun a little too quickly and didn’t catch that my old ship to address was still on my Paypal account. Commence panicking that I would never receive it. I messaged the shop owner as soon as it was shipped, but it had already been put in the mail. I reached out to my local post office to make sure my mail forwarding was working since I had a couple other mail issues over the holidays. They assured me that it was working. I finally received my necklace a couple weeks later (it came from Canada) and I am in love! It is absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend checking out her shop 🙂
Ponds Dark Spot Cream
Oh. My. Goodness. I’m all for all natural products and usually try to go that route, but I read about this cream somewhere online one day. I have some dark spots that wouldn’t go away. When I learned that there is a travel size available at Target, I knew I had to give it a try. I am obsessed! Not only are my dark spots fading after a few weeks, it also seems to be helping prevent and clear up any breakouts. Whenever I get a breakout now, it doesn’t stick around nearly as long. I’ve been putting this on my face twice day for a few weeks. It’s super light and I use this as my only moisturizer. I also had really bad eczema next to my mouth that would flare up pretty often and I haven’t had a flare up since I started using this.
